Performance Objectives
  • Manages all aspects of the operations and maintenance of the Airport’s (DFW) water and wastewater utility systems.Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local rules and regulations
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements capital projects and/or maintenance improvements to water and wastewater systems; prioritizes to maximize reliability, maintainability, sustainability, and efficiency
  • Engages, educates and advises Board staff and stakeholders on water resource management, conservation, and water quality, guidelines and best practices
  • Develops, recommends, monitors, and revises Board utility rates and rate structures
  • Monitors, manages, and evaluates employee performance; evaluates training and licensing requirements; develops and or recommends employee development and engagement programs
  • Evaluates complex data to assess, verify and prepare various regulatory technical and managerial reports.Performs regulatory liaison activities; reviews and disseminates operational data for master planning, and design
Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice President, Utilities Services, performs professional and administrative work in managing the Airport’s water and wastewater utility operations.  Supervision is exercised directly or indirectly over (23) professional, supervisory and skilled personnel
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Engineering, Business, Public Administration or a related degree
  • Five (5) years progressively responsible experience in water and/or wastewater utility system management, operation, maintenance, installation or repair
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Class B Waterworks and Class II Wastewater Collections System Operator certificates (preferred)
  • Must obtain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge within 30 days of employment
  • Must pass safety sensitive, pre and random-post drug screen
  • Must possess a valid Class C driver’s license
